May 2026- Participation Transnational Experiential Training of Trainers of the WellMe project
Wellbeing Hubs: Building a Sustainable Learning Environment for Youth in Local Communities
📍 Warsaw, Poland | WellMe Project -May 2026
Through The Nicosia Tourism Board (NTB) I was honoured to participate in the Transnational Experiential Training of Trainers of the WellMe project – Wellbeing Hubs: Building a Sustainable Learning Environment for Youth in Local Communities, held on 26–27 May 2026.
Over two intensive and highly interactive days, trainers and project partners from across Europe:
🔹 Exchanged knowledge, good practices and tools to enhance youth wellbeing
🔹 Engaged in experiential activities focused on positive psychology, resilience and community engagement
🔹 Explored practical ways to integrate healthy habits and physical activity into young people’s daily lives
🌍The training provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen international collaboration while equipping trainers with innovative methods that will now be transferred to local communities through the implementation of Wellbeing Hubs and national workshops.
I am extremely greatful for this opportunity. I found the training enchansing and inspiring on many levels and I wish the opportunity to apply all these tools given will come soon.
July 2026- Building Stronger Teams On and Off the Court
This summer, along with my colleague Aggeliki Michael we had the privilege of spending four weeks with the wonderful young athletes of the Anorthosis Summer Camp, delivering a series of experiential workshops designed to strengthen healthy relationships within their team.
While the programme explored bullying and exclusion, its focus went far beyond prevention. Together, we talked about kindness, empathy, respect, courage, teamwork and belonging. We also spoke about the everyday choices that help every child feel safe, seen and valued.
Each session built on the one before. We explored how to recognise difficult situations, understand different perspectives, reflect on the role each of us plays within a group, and discover practical ways to support one another. Through games, discussions, movement and creative activities, the girls shared ideas, challenged themselves and, most importantly, realised that even the smallest actions can make a meaningful difference.
One of the strongest messages that emerged throughout the programme was that creating a positive team culture is a shared responsibility. A smile, a word of encouragement, inviting someone to join in, listening without judgement or simply choosing to stand beside a teammate can completely change someone's experience.
Watching the girls engage so openly, support one another and reflect with such honesty reminded us why this work matters. These conversations are about much more than sport, they are about helping young people develop the social and emotional skills they will carry into every friendship, classroom, workplace and community they become part of.
We are incredibly grateful to the coaches, organisers and everyone at Anorthosis Summer Camp for welcoming us, and especially to the athletes for their curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learn together.
We truly believe that stronger teams begin with stronger relationships, and that lasting change often starts with one small act of kindness.
